What We're About

We are a community of ordinary people, experiencing the extraordinary, life-changing love of Jesus Christ.  Revived by faith, renewed by hope, and restored by love, it is our purpose to:

  • bring people to Jesus and membership in His family
  • love and nurture each other to Christ-like maturity
  • equip each individual for service in our church, our community, and the world

…that we may joyfully bring honor and glory to God.

UCC Core Values: What Drives Our Ministry

1. Amazing Grace

We rejoice in the knowledge that God loves us and accepts us through faith in Jesus Christ alone. This amazing grace sets us free from legalism, guilt, and condemnation and allow us to extend grace to others. Within the authority of Scripture, we are a fellowship that recognizes but transcends different opinions about faith and life, and we refuse to let such secondary differences divide us.

2. Joyful, Inspiring Worship

Our individual and shared experiences of worship and prayer are central to our identity as a body of believers. We value worship that is reverent, uplifting, and engaging.

3. Purposeful Outreach

We actively share the good news of God’s life-changing love with our friends, families, and neighbors. We are passionate about taking this love to people of all nations. We strive to welcome newcomers, reach out to spiritual seekers, and serve those in need.

4. Faithful Biblical Teaching

The Bible is our first and final authority in faith and in life. Our desire is to know the Bible, experience its truth, and apply it to our lives and relationships. Because of this, we give priority to thoughtful, in-depth Biblical preaching, teaching, and study so that people of all ages can grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and in obedience to His call upon our lives.

5. Loving Relationships

As a community, we extend God’s amazing grace to others through committed and authentic relationships. We bear one another’s burdens by reaching out to those in need or in crisis. To create this nurturing community, we value vital small groups, mentoring, and accountability relationships.

6. Gift-Based Equipping for Ministry

Every member of the Body of Christ is a minister and is uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit. We equip each person according to their spiritual gifts to serve effectively in the ministry to which God has called them. In this way, God empowers ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things and experience the joy of God working through them.

7. Honoring God with Our Best

God’s amazing grace compels a wholehearted effort in all that we do. We are guided in this by the Apostle Paul’s words: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord … It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24).
