Do you want to grow spiritually?

UCov U is a series of courses for developing a Christian heart, mind, and hands. These courses area designed for the everyday person to learn more about their faith, develop a closer walk with God, and practice living a life fully devoted to following Christ. Deepen your spiritual walk through two options:

Certificate Program. Complete all 10 core classes, 2 for-credit elective classes, and 1 biblical studies elective (13 courses total). For most courses there will be assignments that will require 1 to 2 hours of work each week, plus there may be a final project requiring several hours of work. The certificate is designed to be completed in 2 years with regular participation (or longer at a more leisurely pace). To receive credit for a course, student must pass assignments and attend at least 3 of the 4 class sessions. 

• Audit. Participate and learn, but opt out of the final project and homework assignments. Or, you can participate in a lighter version of homework to get more out of the class.

Each class is four weeks long and starts at the beginning of the month. Pre-registration is recommended as class space is limited and classes are first-come, first served. Click here to register.

Class registration is free. Handouts and worksheets are provided; each student is asked to bring a 3-ring binder and to purchase the book assigned for readings for each class. (Not all classes will have a book, but those that do will typically have a book that costs anywhere from $10-15. Or you can buy them used on Amazon for a few dollars.) Great Themes of the New Testament?  (Elective class)

Most of us know the familiar stories and passages from the New Testament,but do you really have a grasp of its great themes and whole arc? If you want to get a better handle on the New Testament as a whole, then this short course is for you. We will take a grand tour of the New Testament literature and history, as well as go behind the scenes and look at how it all came to be.

Celebrating Goodness: Exploring Celtic Spirituality Through the Gospel of John  (Elective class)

Join us in addressing the goodness of God, the goodness of humankind, and the goodness of Creation. During this 8-week experience, we will share stories of Jesus from the Gospel of John, create visual expressions of the “good life with God,” and develop a personal design to help us embrace God’s goodness in our everyday lives. This experience is designed for 8 to 12 persons, and a cost for the materials is $15 per person.
