making God part of the equation

Sundays, September 12 - October 10 • 9:30 am • Youth Center

Students are encouraged to take SAT's, visit colleges, apply for scholarships, and stress out about what direction to take after high school. But how many are encouraged to seek God's direction, be in prayer, and investigate options from a faith perspective? 10th-12th graders are invited to join us for a 5-week exploration of life after high school, "Making God Part of the Equation," Sunday mornings 9:30-10:30 from September 12 through October 10. fall kick-off picnic

Everyone is invited to our fall kick-off picnic, open to the community! Pack a lunch for you or your family, bring your own meat to barbeque (grills provided) and bring a dessert or appetizer to share with others. Join us on our lawn for games, slip-n-slide and inflatable slide for the kids!

life hurts, God heals

Sundays, Starting September 12 • 7pm • Youth Center

Created for teenagers who have experienced pain or addiction. This is an 8-step small group biblical study providing life-long tools to help teens heal from their hurts.

alpha course

Why am I here? What’s my purpose? Is there a God? THE ALPHA COURSE explores the meaning of life in this 9 week class, taught by Pastor Jamie, in a safe and friendly environment. Contact Deanna for more information.

We’re kicking off a brand-new service on SUNDAY NIGHTS as a way to reach out to those who are unable to attend church on Sunday mornings. Help us launch this service by volunteering (see board in the lobby) and use the handy e-vite available at ucov.com/go/evite!

ucns: new transitional kindergarten

UCNS is excited to offer a new afternoon transitional kindergarten

(TK) program for kindergarten eligible children (born between June and December of 2005). TK serves as a bridge between early childhood educational programs and elementary school. Our TK program will focus on positive socialization, Christian curriculum and the development and strengthening of a child's emotional intelligence (self awareness, self regulation, confidence, inner motivation, empathy, relationship and problem-solving skills) in a literacy rich environment. Math and science concepts, art experiences, music, dance, drama, small group activities, class meetings, daily jobs and field trips will be integrated into our curriculum as well. Our TK program runs Monday - Thursday (Monday/Wednesday 1 - 4 pm and Tuesday/Thursday 12:15 - 4:00 pm) including a group lunch on Tuesday and Thursday. OASIS is coming! We’ll be studying "Abiding in Christ" for the first session. Registration begins on Sunday before and after services. $25 for the session. Childcare is $15 for the 1st child, $10 for each additional child.
